Veterans hired for IT Jobs

Big companies have embarked in hiring military as a top choice for their IT departments. Some of these top players who are leading the front line in this process are companies such as Amazon, Oracle, Microsoft, SalesForce, IBM and oracle.
Military veterans have shown time and time again that they have such qualities, having undergone a non-traditional form of education and in comparison with the rest, they end up being far better off even for those without college degrees. They can meet their expectations and sometimes exceed the expectations because of the years of training and discipline instilled in them to overcome ambiguity through sheer tenacity.
Human resource development has become pivotal for top tech companies around the world. In the USA, for example, in 2018, there were over 3.7 million job listings in this industry. The question now becomes who is filling these tech jobs and how are they able to gain such top talents. It is through looking at the underlying data that one notices that it is not just the freshly out of college graduates that are being considered for these lucrative jobs. Companies have invested heavily in the recruitment of military veterans looking to have a new start of civilian life.

Training and discipline instilled in veterans  to overcome ambiguity

Workers with a high level of discipline, goal-oriented, able to work independently with minimal supervision, collaborative and consistent in ensuring that they meet their deliverables tops the list of wishes of human resource managers. These skills, for the military veterans, have been instilled in them through their many years of service in the force and this makes them very marketable in this field.
Students fleshly out of college do not have such a working experience, attitudes and personalities. Ryen Macababbad, Cybersecurity Program Manager, United States Army Reserve argues that because of the rapid changes in technology, tech companies need individuals who are highly adaptable and creative who can remain residents under a very stressful working environment.
She continues by saying that military veterans have shown time and time again that they have such qualities, having undergone a non-traditional form of education and in comparison with the rest, they end up being far better off even for those without college degrees.
They can meet their expectations and sometimes exceed the expectations because of the years of training and discipline instilled in them to overcome ambiguity through sheer tenacity.
The truth is clear in some of their responses when asked about why they hired the veterans with phrases such as dedication discipline and sheer hard work being among them. The companies also remain hopeful about the prospects of veteran hires with Oracles Lindsay Schumacher, Data Center Program Manager Intern, United States Navy, saying she has hope of what the industry holds for army veterans like her, beaming with optimism that it can only get better going forward.
Meanwhile, countries everywhere are exploring opportunities for growth, in many fields of common interests for their citizens.
