Schools to open until lunchtime in defiance with the UK government

Schools in the UK will open until lunch, according to letters sent to parents on reopening plans. The midday school openings will be done at least once a week in accordance with coronavirus health guidelines.
The UK government has insisted that schools will be open for all students by September. They have also insisted that schools will be safe and all students will be required to attend classes in person. For parents who are afraid to send their kids when schools finally reopen, the education secretary and the educaiton department have threatened to fine these parents.

Schools to open until lunchtime

However, schools are coming to the realization that they may not be able to reopen fully and do it safely while curbing the spread of coronavirus. Some schools are now taking proactive measures to ensure that schools return are safe and adhere to health guidelines provided by the government.
To do so, some school headteachers are sending letters to parents notifying them that, at least one day in a week, schools will open until lunchtime. After that, the students will be released from schools, and teachers and staff can be able to continue with work such as marking and preparing for lessons, which cannot be done normally due to coronavirus and social distancing requirements that would not allow congested staff rooms.
The decision to open until lunchtime would also give staff members enough time to clean up the schools and ensure that they disinfect the schools in accordance with the health guidelines for school reopening.
In letters seen by the daily mail, the teachers said they would only need to open until lunchtime for at least a day in a week. However, some schools were open to closing multiple days in a week to ensure that they are able to maintain good hygiene and prevent the spread of coronavirus.
In the UK, one UK teacher has died of coronavirus according to the government’s sage advisory group. Data also shows that only three teachers have been hospitalized in the UK after severe coronavirus symptoms. Since June, no child in the UK has been hospitalized for coronavirus according to the data, and there have been very few new coronavirus cases registered in children.
