The UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, asks parents to be more patient.

UK Prime Minister under fire from raged parents

With another postponement of the reopening of schools in the UK, parents started to vent out their frustrations, targetted into UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson also wants to clarify talks about putting up zoos and parks instead of classrooms. The government has always been focused on providing the best welfare for the children.

This pandemic hit us in a standstill, it was something we were not expecting. Not only us, but the rest of the world are struggling, do not single out the UK government. We are doing our best to balance the needs of the people during this pandemic.

The UK government is taking thinks slowly as the number of COVID-19 cases in the country is still high to risk the health of the children. With response from teachers and school administrators pointing out the lack of preparedness to handle the reopening of schools, the government aims for mid-September as the right time to reopen schools.

Parents irate with slow development

According to Education Secretary Gavin Williamson, the government is already coming up with an effective plan to safely reopen classes before autumn.

Changes have to be made in school facilities to ensure the safety of the students. This is the new normal, we should somehow be patient and understand that the government doesn’t want to spread even more the virus by failing to address proper sanitation measures as schools reopen.

As for disadvantaged students, the government is formulating a major catch-up program for them. The lack of resources to cope up with alternative learning has made disadvantaged students left in the back seat.

We are looking to provide tutorial services for disadvantaged students as schools reopen. We are also looking into hiring more teachers to boost the education workforce.
