Adkins also emphasized the importance of not just learning technologies for the sake of it, but because students are passionate about the subject. He also highlighted the importance of science in the current UAE education system and why it should be promoted.
Adkins also presented practical scenarios to show the students why they should not learn about technology for the sake of it. He argued that it is causing major disruptions in all industry and it was the high time it got accepted across the education system.
He also highlighted the importance of technology is playing on the employability of students. He indicated that companies are now adapting these new technologies which are being used in every part of the business. It has changed the scope of jobs and employers are currently looking for students with technological know-how.
Adkins added,

To me, the most important consideration is, [the business challenge] allows students to face a real-world challenge and develop skills that are going to be required of them, both in university and in their careers. Transferable skills are so important to future employability, and that’s what we are hoping to achieve with.
