MIT launches Catalyst university program in Hungary

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has announced that the Catalyst university program will reach a number of higher education institutions around Europe, including ones in Hungary.
During a recent meeting with MIT representatives, the Minister of Innovation and Technology László Palkovics discussed the successful implementation of the program in the country.

Catalyst university program

The Catalyst university program is an MIT initiative that aims to bring together researchers from all over the world.
According to MIT Professor Martha Gray, the Catalyst university program is a completely new approach to scientific research. For her, the program will bring a revolution to the way research is being carried out.
The Catalyst program aims at bringing research opportunities to students all over the world to make the process global. Once more people have access to research opportunities, the quality of hypothesis and testing will rise tremendously. The ability to include more researchers from different countries and social backgrounds will bring a significantly more objective perspective to the whole field.
Not only that, but the Catalyst university program will help more research projects reach their final phases. It is not uncommon for small university research projects to remain unfinished, because of a lack of funding, or scientists with the necessary expertise.

Scientific research

Scientific research is one of the driving forces of advancements in technology, medicine, and many other fields. However, for a research project to be successful, scientists need a lot of financial and professional expertise.
What the Catalyst university program, scientific researchers from all over the world will be able to exchange ideas and share hypotheses. The advancement of research is essential for us, as it also allows us to uncover things unknown to our species. One example is the extensive research and analytics performed on a space rock, which revealed the existence of a whole new mineral, unknown to scientists.
Scientific research is the only way to improve our understanding of the world and to help solve the global problems we are currently facing, for example, the climate crisis.
