Hull students might not get uniforms for the first day of classes

Parents in the Hull area have expressed concerns that their children might not get school uniforms in time for the start of the school year. A local uniform supplier has surprisingly decided to relocate after the uniforms ordered for this school season did not arrive on time in their facility.
Until now, CS Enterprises was supplying more than thirty schools in the Hull and York school area. This means that parents of Hull students might have to go to an alternative supplier and pay for their children’s’ uniforms again.
While parents started voicing their concerns on social media, the company’s website went down for more than a week. Later on, in an official company statement, CS Enterprise did not give detailed information about the delay in orders but assured parents that they would receive school uniforms for their children.

Hull students and school uniforms across the UK

Hull students are not the only ones having problems with their school uniforms this year. Numerous complaints have flooded schools across the United Kingdom, and the Department of Education, as parents express concerns regarding the high prices of schoolwear.
A recent example is an appeal from parents and teachers directly to the Irish Minister of Education, as many families face difficulties affording school uniforms. Unfortunately, the situation is even worse for families who are part of the universal credit program, as they do not get any price reductions.
Currently, the average price for a school uniform in the United Kingdom is around two hundred euro (EUR200). This means that families with more than one student will have to invest an amount close to half of a working person’s salary before the start of the school year.
