Education changes amid the coronavirus pandemic

Coronavirus outbreak has affected the education system worldwide since the inspection which has led to the closure of schools and suspension of academic activities. Over billions of students worldwide are unable to go to school due to the drastic step taken to curb the spread of the pandemic outbreak, in effect, causing a huge impact on global education.
The pandemic outbreak has not only reshaped the economic growth of the country, but it has also contributed a lot to notable calendar regression. Thus, it has caused a lot of disadvantages not only to children and family but caused an interrupted learning, compromised nutrition, economic issues for low-income families. Also, the full closure of schools has shed light on the socioeconomic factors which affect education.

Change on education system

As situations change in the global economy of the country, the learning process is also affected. Thus, the outbreak has led to bringing up a new idea of how students will learn despite school closure.
The outbreak has given the digital divide which could widen the equality gaps of using online learning. Also, the changes in the system could gain importance with public-private educational partnership. Education aid, if predominantly provided by the government, could become a prevalent and consequential trend to future education.

Impact on students and family

Despite the idea of students taking online learning as a substitute for the class missed, the outbreak will cause a lot on the students being idle by watching movies, playing games and engaging in all sorts of irrelevant activities. Many students who might not have access to the internet are also disadvantaged.
80% of students find it difficult to learn especially those that could not afford adequate shelter, access to technology, and good food. Also, online learning boil down more on family income and resources, not only on technology and Internet access. For now, education is the least of the worries of marginal families.
