Growin up in Ireland has released its study showing that most 20-year-olds are financially dependent on their parents. The data also showed that the majority of these age-groups were still living with their parents.
Two-thirds of this age group indicated that they were still living at home. The study also showed that eight percent of 20-year-olds were experiencing some financial difficulty.
The research was also able to focus on the health of this group and found that the majority were in good health. However, the 20-year-olds indicated that they had gained much weight compared to when they were 17 and 18 years old.
A quarter of individuals who took part in this study also indicated that they were suffering from high levels of stress or depressive symptoms.
Housing was a primary concern to these college students, especially those that came from poor backgrounds. These college students also indicated that climate change and poverty were issues that needed to be addressed.

On health issues, among those interviewed on whether they smoked, 21 percent said they do it every day, 23 percent said they do it occasionally. The data showed that 93 percent of those interviewed took alcohol.
The data provides an insight into the lifestyle of 20-year-olds in Ireland. This data can be used by policymakers when making laws that affect this age group.
