ASEAN students eligible for Indian government scholarships

ASEAN students will be entitled to scholarships being offered at IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology). This information was availed after India’s Ministry of Human Resource Development made a recent announcement.  
As a result, ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) students will benefit from one thousand (1,000) PhD scholarships that will be instrumental in the expansion of their knowledge base. 

ASEAN students eligibility based on friendly ties

The ASEAN nations comprise of Vietnam, Myanmar, Lao PDR, Cambodia, Thailand, Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Indonesia. 
As a result, the scholarships being offered by the Indian government to ASEAN students is meant to enhance close ties with countries in this category. 
ASEAN students beneficiaries will play an instrumental role in boosting people-to-people relationships between India and neighboring nations. 
Notably, the formal launch of these scholarships happened on September 16. 

Admission of ASEAN students

The admission procedure will necessitate applicants to complete a formal application found on the official website. Notably, the admission portal for ASEAN students will be carried out by IIT Delhi. 
The scholarships being offered are instrumental in fostering cordial relationships among ASEAN nations. Additionally, the involvement of IITs in this procedure is exceptional because they hold incredible expertise in technological education. 
Scholarships are pivotal in propelling the number of international students in higher learning institutions. Moreover, they come in handy in equipping learners with unique expertise needed for the growth of various sectors. 
For instance, the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) recently presented Danish government scholarships to Indian and other overseas applicants in recognition of the fundamental role played by international students. 
Additionally, the Indian School Muscat’s Alumni (ISMA) successfully raised over eighteen thousand dollars (US$18,250) that will be instrumental in sponsoring fifty (50) students. 
The Rotary Yoneyama Memorial Foundation, Tokyo, recently announced the Rotary Yoneyama Scholarship for students who reside outside Japan, but want to be a part of their Training, Masters and Ph.D. program.
