Applied Scholastics International solves illiteracy in Sierra Leone

Applied Scholastics International adopts learning mechanisms by Ron Hubbard to tackle illiteracy in Sierra Leone. Illiteracy has deprived the region of being peaceful and productive.
The volunteer director of Applied Scholastics International, Tim Bowles, explained that illiteracy is the root cause of the regions’ series of wars between 1979 to 1980,1989 to 2003, and 1991 to 2002.
The Pasadena attorney, Bowles said that illiteracy resulted in the build-up of hatred, fear, and revengeful feelings that surrounded the crises in the region.

Applied Scholastics International Project

Applied Scholastics International has been tackling illiteracy Africa for the past 50 years. Affiliated with Study Technology, Applied Scholastics International adopts the practice to train teachers and students of Liberia and Sierra Leone.
Bowles discussed with local community leaders on the activities of Applied Scholastics International:

Over the past 50 years, Applied Scholastics International has established itself as an organization uniquely qualified to offer the solution to illiteracy through Study Technology (Study Tech)—proven, effective learning methods developed by humanitarian and Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard that emphasize comprehension for application and competence.

Bowles added that he believes Applied Scholastics International will mitigate the academic effect of the tragedies that rocked the region. He also highlighted the impact Ebola had on schools. The fatal disease, which resulted in the deaths of 8,900 persons, also caused the shut-down of schools from 2014 to 2015. The Liberian human rights activist, Joseph Yarsiah, and other dedicated West African colleagues are also part of the Applied Scholastics International project.
Study Technology, the learning technique adopted by Applied Scholastics International will train teachers and students of Liberia, Sierra Leone, and the entire region through the collaborative effort of the government and favorable policies. Applied Scholastics International works with hundreds of affiliated schools and educational programs throughout the world, providing the practical learning tools developed by Mr. Hubbard.
The volunteer director said;

Our dream of sparking and sustaining a literacy movement through West African educators and youth is steadily becoming reality. We are very excited about the prospects of what can be accomplished in one of the most anguished areas of the world. Our success there also undoubtedly stands for successful competency-based learning initiatives throughout the continent and far beyond.

The Applied Scholastics International Training Campus situates at the Spanish Lake, Missouri. It is affiliated with Study Technology and thus represents the hub of a worldwide Study Technology movement.
