DepEd’s school readiness program
Scheduled to start at 8:45 AM, the online launch of DepEd’s school readiness program underwent several technical difficulties which led to it being moved later in the day at 11:43 AM.
The viewers were expecting that the opening of the virtual launch will be showered by the presence of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, who will deliver the opening speech. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the department was hounded by technical difficulties, delaying the virtual launch into a later time slot.
To get things going, the program organizers started the press conference ahead of schedule to make time to fix the technical concerns concerning the start of DepEd’s school readiness program.
According to Education Usec. Nepomuceno Malaluan, who is in charge of the online conference, test runs went definitely fine. Unfortunately, this morning had a different tune, we experienced sudden technical difficulties with our audio and internet setup.
Usec. Anne Sevilla also admitted that for a national event such as this, we weren’t been able to prepare alternatives for such technical difficulties. There is certainly a lot of room to work for in assuring that these incidents do not repeat in the near future.
