Darknet shopping increases as coronavirus pandemic continues

Darknet shopping has become the norm for many people whose cities are on lockdown due to Covid 19. The disruption of global logistics has vastly contributed to many people seeking services of darknet market places for their life-saving supplies.
Covid 19 pandemic cases are on the rise as more countries are registering new cases. So far, more than 130 countries have at least one case of coronavirus registered. The spread of the virus has caused disruptions in the rhythmic way of life in these countries, including how they do shopping.
The total number of recorded coronaviruses cases is now 145,244+ and the number of deaths has already topped 5,000 globally. With the rising cases, several industries such as banking, tourism, retail, hotels and shopping outlets are facing difficulties in operating as they used to be. This has led to panic in the markets and slowing down economic activities in most of the countries affected.

Darknet shopping as an alternative

However, darknet shopping and other online shopping platforms seem to be thriving at this time. Countries such as Italy and China have already implemented lockdowns and the US has already declared the virus a national emergency. People are now turning to these platforms as an alternative to avoid interactions with people who may be infected with the virus.


Darknet shopping platforms have gained an edge due to the backlog being experienced by other online shopping sites. With many people shopping online, postal services have been overwhelmed with orders and are the waiting times for good deliveries have increased significantly. This has led to a lot of people taking the risky route of using darknet shopping for their supplies.
Darknet shopping is not a safe haven. However, global logistics and the supply chain of vital products have already been disrupted. This has provided an opening for these darknet market place to thrive in. Many people are also finding it worth the risk of spending money over these sites to buy life-saving supplies.
