HNLU, Raipur shuts down amid coronavirus outbreak

Hidayatullah National Law University or HNLU, Raipur will shut down due to fears of coronavirus. The lockdown is temporary and the school will review the safety of students returning to campus on 16th March.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared coronavirus a global pandemic and governments around the world are now fighting to control the disease. More than 110 countries have already registered cases of the virus. India has also had its fair share of the virus with more than 60 cases already confirmed and hundreds suspected of carrying the virus in quarantine.

HNLU, Raipur shut down

Hidayatullah National Law University or HNLU, Raipur is already taking steps to prevent the spread of the virus. HNLU, Raipur has indicated it will be shutting down its campuses due to fear of coronavirus.
This comes after two of its students showed signs that are consistent with an infection of coronavirus. The students were tested, but the results have not been made public but the school is already taking measures to ensure they protect their students from the virus.
HNLU, Raipur will become the first Indian university to shut down due to coronavirus fears. Globally, however, many universities such as Harvard University have already closed down in fear of a coronavirus outbreak.
The school will review the risks of reopening the schools on 16th March. If there will still be risk involved that would put the administration on edge about reopening the school on the 18th, the school will review the data. The students were advised to leave the school premises during this period as they await further communication from the university.
India has already recorded its first death due to the virus. There have also been proposals to shut down schools in some of the most affected areas. Sports events have also been put on the table as a way of controlling the spread of the virus, with major sports events already having doubts about continuing to play.
