ULesson Education Limited launches its mobile app tailor-fitted for African students.

ULesson goes mobile

The company uLesson Education Limited has been seed funding for six months and successfully achieved the $3.1 million funding mark. The Nigerian edtech startup finally launched its mobile version, which is specifically designed to guide African students.
The mobile app is equipped with lessons that are relevant to the current education curriculum in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. Currently, the product launch is limited to certain areas of Africa like Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone. The lessons included in the app is a good refresher for several entrance exams in Africa and as well as SATs.

First lesson based mobile app in Africa

The founder and CEO of the uLesson mobile app, Sim Shagaya, believes that African students at the secondary level onwards need additional support in understanding school lessons, and this app is the best tool so far to help them out.
This is the first-ever mobile app in Africa that contains curriculum-relevant lessons for students on the secondary level. The app is affordable enough that allows students from families with low-income to access it. Contents are tailor-fitted for African students and to the current curriculum, they have at schools. Interactive learning is proven to be more effective in teaching students at a young age, which makes the app effective.
In addition to the interactive content, the edtech startup also provides physical counseling support for its users. Analytics of the student’s performance during the lessons can also be requested by the parents to figure out the areas their child needs more attention and help with.
Shagaya envisions a better education system in Africa with the help of technology, providing easy access to education support and high-quality content that is easily absorbed by students through interactive learning.
