Freedom Speaks Coalition Inc. hosted a one-day conference addressing the effects and dangers of the LGBTQ mentality in elementary schools.
Gender Training influences LGBTQ mentality
Freedom Speaks Coalition Inc, headed by former House Representative Bev Kilmer hosted a one-day conference to be talking about helping public schools on protecting students from the possible dangers of LGBTQ discussions.
The event is named “Parent Power 2020”.
Parent Power 2020 will be held at Hotel Duval with participation from unnamed members of the Legislature. But there are some notable names that came out of the list like, House Representative Mike Hill of Pensacola and Ann Bowden who will represent her husband former Florida State Football Coach Bobby Bowden.
LGBTQ advocates are quick to criticize the conference, claiming that it is an example of extreme authoritarianism.
Freedom Speaks Coalition support against the sexualization of sex education being taught in K-12 programs. LGBTQ advocates hide their ill motives behind the so-called “Gender Training” in sex education lessons.
Children must not be subjected to the ravages of Drag Queen and LGBTQ mentality at their own classrooms at school. No Child should be forced to dwell on thoughts about Gender Equality at such a young age.
LGBTQ community opposes
The LGBTQ community was quickly defended by known advocate Jon Harris Maurer, public policy director of LGBTQ civil rights organization.
This group of right-wing extremists is far out of touch with everyday Floridians, while trying to get attention and raise money off the backs of the LGBTQ youths.
According to Maurer,
This is the fake morality that these people are peddling in Tallahassee. They are targetting young people who are part of the LGBTQ community.
Health topic courses are not compulsory
Based on the County School District policy, public schools are obliged to teach courses on health topics as directed by the Florida Department of Education. Health topics include tobacco usage, nutrition, human sexuality, LGBTQ mentality, sexually transmitted diseases, and pregnancy prevention.
But courses related to health topics are not compulsory for students. Parents who are uncomfortable with their children being taught about sex education at a young age can fill out a form to opt-out their child from attending certain classes.
