Edtech platform receives funding from top investors

Edukasyon.ph platform has received funding from top investors in its series A funding campaign. The Edtech platform is centralizing resources such as course works, available scholarships, available highschools and college vacancies. 
The Edukasyon platform received funding from a host of investors among them EduLab Capital Partners, Alternate Ventures, Obunsha Ventures, Foxmont Capital Partners, French Partners, First Asia Venture Capital, Lorinet Foundation, KSR Ventures, and IceDream CEO and president Michael Dargani
The Edtech platform attracts over 1 million student users monthly, who are in search of high schools, colleges, scholarships and also help students to plan for their education and carriers. It connects students to institutions both locally and internationally. The platform, which was founded in 2015, is based in Manilla, Philippines.

The Edtech platform Investments

Earlier this year, the company had received funds from Gobi-Core Philippine Fund, a venture partnership of Core capital in Philippines and Malaysia based Gobi capital. There was also a pre-series A funding that was held in May where the Edtech platform raised an undisclosed amount.
Edukasyon CEO and founder Henry Motte-Muñoz emphasized on the need for the funding highlighting that it will help the company focus on product development. He also said the fund would go into investments focusing on creation of more meaningful and measurable engagements with each user.
Eduksyon’s goal of creating a centralized resource centre where students could apply to various institutions or find relevant education-based materials has succeeded. The platforms currently prides itself of having developed more than 500 partnerships with educational institutions and over 50 corporations and foundations.
It has also marketed itself over the last few years through different multimedia platforms and campaign partnerships. They have indicated that they are putting emphasis on reaching out to generation Z.
Judge Calimbahin, chief strategy officer at Edukasyon said in statement,

Our hope is to continue building a holistic education ecosystem online, so that together we can eliminate job-skills mismatch and help the youth rise above industry demands.

Edukasyon will now emphasize leveraging insights from its investors and partners to refine products and services they offer. This will help them in addressing the various needs in the educational ecosystem.
