Nagaland calls for a better and clear cut education policy

Nagaland Education Association (NEA) has massively proposed for the need for a clear and well-mapped education policy for the state. With this, NEA has started studying the current education policy of the state and will propose new changes to the framework in a few months.
Data from various sources have been collected and the state is interviewing some of the prominent members and educationists of the state to understand what new policies should be implemented.
According to NEA president, the current education policy is way out of its line. It doesn’t have any strategy it is more dangerous than having no policy at all. With this, the education system of the state will eventually lead the state of ‘anarchy’.
The professional educationists didn’t have any say in the education policy of the state till now. It was randomly handled by any individual without any prior experience.
In the next meeting of NEA, all these issues will be taken into consideration and further decisions would be taken.
NEA is a government organization composed of educators, former and practicing teachers and scholars. NEA was established in order to develop healthy relationships between teachers, to bring in professionalism and maintain the dignity of the curriculum.

Education policy has been one of the poorest in the country

From now on, NEA will be consulted on every education policy matter. The responsibility of making and maintaining the education policy won’t be given to anyone without relevance. This malpractice has been in society for years without anyone objecting to it.
Also, NEA would ask the schools and the curriculum to focus more on practical knowledge rather than theoretical based rote learning. Nagaland has a rich diversity of various educationists involved in different fields from agriculture to technological research.
