Indian Institutes of Technology to absorb 1000 Ph.D. scholars

Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) will receive 1000 students for Ph.D. scholarships; courtesy of the Indian government. 
It was made known that beneficiaries of the Indian Institutes of Technology scholarship shall hail from Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Philippine, Singapore, Lao PDR, and Myanmar.
Students from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) will be selected for scholarships in Indian Institutes of Technology as stated by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The Ministry believes the award in the Indian Institutes of Technology will encourage friendly collaboration between Indian and the neighboring countries. It is also envisaged that the scholarships will enhance healthy relations among the ASEAN people. 

Official Launch of Scholarships to Indian Institutes of Technology

The official launch of the scholarship which took place yesterday, the 16th of September 2019 had the External Affairs Minister – S Jaishankar and HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal offer the scholarships.  
Also in attendance were the Head of Missions of ASEAN nations, the Chairman of Universities Grants Commission, D.P Singh, and Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, Rajiv Kumar. Other dignitaries at the launch were the Ministry of External Affairs senior officials, the Directors of all twenty-three (23) Indian Institutes of Technology and their respective Human Resource Development team.

The application process to Indian Institutes of Technology

To gain admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology under the scholarship scheme, applicants will complete the application forms available on the official website. The official website is presently being managed by the Delhi Indian Institutes of Technology division.

The Indian Institutes of Technology are premier public Universities in Indian. The institutes are regulated by the Institutes of Technology Act of 1961. The ACT declared the institute a national significance. It also developed the functions of the institute, their authority, and administrative framework.
Indian and ASEAN Scholarships
Other scholarships are available for Indian students to benefit from. A recent award sponsored by the Indian School Muscat’s Alumni (ISMA) sponsored fifty (50) students in scholarships. This amount is more than three times the total number of awards given last year.
Also, the Singapore Police Force Scholarship by Singapore’s Ministry of Home Affairs is available to police officers in the country. A beneficiary, Shermaine Ang, was elated as she became the first female officer to achieve the scholarship.
