Thousands of kids at a school at Norwich anticipates of their new principal, Jim Nixon, for the incoming summer season.
“I am delighted to have been appointed as the principal of Ormiston Denes Academy and I am looking forward to meeting with parents, carers, and students in September.
I have greatly enjoyed working closely with the school over the past few years and have an in-depth insight into the school, its pupils and the local community, and I am pleased to now have the opportunity to join in this new capacity.”
Ormiston Denes Academy welcomes Nixon who will replace Ben Driver for the said position.
Nixon has previously been a principal at the school of the City of Norwich (CNS) from 2009 to 2017. During his time, the school accepted a high evaluation for leadership and management from the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills or simply known as Ofsted.
After working in education for forty (40) years, Nixon mentioned that he considered having his retirement. However, it didn’t happen when he decided to have an advisory role in the Ormiston Academies Trust.
The trust has mentioned that the team and the board will collaborate closely with Nixon to support him for his newly entitled position.
The governors’ chair of Ormiston Denes Academy, Tina Ellis, stated:
“We are very much looking forward to having Mr. Nixon join us and I am confident that he will bring a wealth of experience and passion to his new role.
He shares our collective high expectations for what can be achieved for the academy going forward and we look forward to working together alongside the leadership team, parents, the governors and the trust in September.”
