The college revealed via press release that the requirement for students who are trained in Blockchain has increased significantly. A four hundred per cent increase in 2019 demanded the creation of this customized course. EMURGO had developed the curriculum as per international requirements, in consultation with subject matter experts.
This seems to be a prudent move as Gartner has predicted that the market opportunity for Blockchain will cross three trillion USD by the year 2030.
The parent company of EMURGO Academy is based in Japan and is a well reputed EdTech firm. They entered the Indian market earlier this year and plan to set up operations pan India in the next twenty-four months.
From being the backbone of bitcoin, Blockchain is now finding its application in various fields. In a developing economy like India, Blockchain will find usage in healthcare, governance, utilities, and so on.
