2019 Commonwealth Masters Scholarships now open

Commonwealth Nations’ students eligible for 2019 masters scholarships

The 2019 Commonwealth Masters Scholarships was recently opened for students from Commonwealth Nations. Notably, the masters programs will cover distinctive areas, including technology, science, and health sciences. 
The Commonwealth Scholarships are developed so that they can enhance the knowledge base of students from these countries.

Themes covered by the Commonwealth masters programs

Six themes are intended to be achieved by the Commonwealth scholarships. They are:
 

  • Enhancing technology and science for growth purposes
  • Developing health structures and capabilities
  • Advancing worldwide progress
  • Boosting worldwide administration, safety, and tranquility
  • Improving feedback and flexibility to challenges
  • Offering equal opportunities, inclusion, and accessibility

 
Eligibility for the Commonwealth masters scholarships
Some requirements have been availed for those seeking the Commonwealth scholarships. They include:
 

  • Be a citizen of one of the Commonwealth nations or have been offered refugee status by one of them.
  • Be a resident who permanently resides in one of the acceptable  Commonwealth countries.
  • Being not in a position to afford the intended masters program without the scholarship offered.
  • By September 2020, must have a first degree and have attained at least an upper second class upper division.
  • All needed documentation must have been availed in the stipulated format.

 
On the other hand, students from acceptable Commonwealth nations, such as Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, Pakistan, Fiji, Bangladesh, Dominica, Vanuata, and Tanzania, among others, have been encouraged to apply. 

The application process for the Commonwealth masters scholarships

It has been stipulated that the  Commonwealth scholarships cannot be directly applied. Expressly, applicants are required to present their requests through nominating bodies, such as national nominating agencies or selected charitable institutions and non-governmental organizations.
Applicants have been advised to comprehend specific requirements necessitated by these bodies for prosperity purposes.  On the other hand, applications must be made using the availed Electronic Application System (EAS), as well as application forms given by nominating bodies.
The deadline will be on  October 30, 2019, by 16:00 (GMT) and all required documentation must be provided.
On the other hand, ASEAN students will be entitled to scholarships being offered at IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology). This information was availed after India’s Ministry of Human Resource Development made a recent announcement.
