Over a million cases of coronavirus worldwide.
The widespread of the coronavirus worldwide
China, which was the epicenter of the global pandemic, has gradually flattened its curve in COVID-19 cases. When the pandemic started early in January, it caused rapid widespread worldwide in just a matter of weeks and still spreading right now.
China was hit hard for the first few weeks of the virus transmission, and the government’s response was a total lockdown on all entry and exit points of the country. After reaching more than 3,000 deaths, death cases in China due to the coronavirus has rapidly declined to single digits.
Countries outside China are starting to experience the sudden burst of positive cases and a rise in the death toll, which once haunted China. Spain, Italy, and the United States are climbing the ladder of death tolls recorded due to the virus. Hospitals are overflowing, health care workers are outrageously outnumbered, and scarcity of personal protection equipment is a huge problem right now in the U.K and the U.S.
The virus can be transmitted by small droplets from our body entering the facial mucous membranes in our face, doctors advise that social distancing and frequent sanitation of hands is still the best prevention for the virus. Unfortunately, western countries disregarded this warning and continued to allow large gatherings, which skyrocketed the transmission of the coronavirus.
COVID free countries
On a brighter note, there are still countries that have zero cases of COVID-19 for the reason that these countries are isolated and not flooded with tourists coming from infected countries. These are the following countries:
- Comoros
- Kiribati
- Lesotho
- Marshall Islands
- Micronesia
- Nauru
- North Korea
- Palau
- Samoa
- Sao Tome and Principe
- Solomon Islands
- South Sudan
- Tajikistan
- Tonga
- Turkmenistan
- Tuvalu
- Vanuatu
- Yemen
Though some experts question the credibility of possible unreported cases in some of these countries, at least in these countries, the virus was under control.
